Osama Hafez · Full-stack Software Engineer

Software that ships, from health-tech platforms to community tools.

Available for contract & freelance work. I turn ideas into production web apps, APIs, and internal tools that are simple, cheap to run, and actually used.

It’s not just about what you can do at your work desk, but what you can get done away from it.

Full-stack web apps & MVPs

Responsive web and mobile apps built end to end, from idea to launched product.

Connecting systems and third-party / health APIs, with secure auth (SSO, OpenID Connect).

Automation & data pipelines

I'm a full stack software engineer who can manage and run various large projects simultaneously. My soft skills far exceed your average developer because of my experience in various community based projects. Even though I'm a familiar face, I prefer to work behind the scenes so that I remember why I'm really doing things. I enjoy serving my family, friends and community, deepening my understanding of my religion, gardening, and football (soccer).

Currently a full-stack software engineer at FluidAI (health-tech), architecting a multi-tier EHR integration platform for secure connectivity, fast patient onboarding, and modular APIs across web and mobile.

  • Cut third-party health-system integration times by ~45–60 seconds per request.
  • Founded MSLA to strengthen Muslim Students’ Associations across Canada through leadership pipelines, alumni networks, and advocacy data. muslimstudentleaders.ca ›
  • Shipped modular APIs powering multiple web and mobile apps, improving scalability and reuse across products.
  • Designed SSO authentication (OpenID Connect) for a Network Operations Center at Cognitive Systems Corp.
  • Co-founded the Muslim Athletic Association, where I built an MVP CRM for 300+ athletes and a 400+ customer database, and ran four soccer leagues over two years.
  • Taught Programming on the Web (CSC309) as a TA at the University of Toronto across multiple terms.
  • Served five years on the UTM MSA executive team across finance, external relations, advocacy, and charity leadership.
